Materials are accessible digitally via Blackboard. Sign in to your Blackboard account through the BC3 homepage, then click on courses.

Day one access consists of digital materials. Some instructors may require additional printed lab manuals, workbooks, or occasionally course-related supplies like lab equipment or calculators, depending on course requirements.

Charges appear under the Miscellaneous Fees tab in your student account. A separate line item will appear for each Day One Access textbook.

You will be responsible for these materials along with your tuition and fees. Please refer to the payment deadlines provided by the Financial Services Office.

I’ve already paid for my tuition and fees, but a Day One Access charge appeared after the payment deadline. Do I still have to pay for it?

Yes. Because Day One Access charges are uploaded automatically, they may appear after the tuition deadline. These charges are separate from tuition, so any new balances must still be paid.

What happens if I qualify for book allowance?

If you qualify for a book allowance, your financial aid will first be applied to your tuition and fees. If there is financial aid remaining after those charges are covered, it may be used to cover all or part of your Day One Access charges, depending on the amount available.

On the first day of each session, students enrolled in Day One Access courses receive an email from the BC3 Bookstore ([email protected]) with the subject line “Welcome to Day One Access for BC3 Course Materials.”

This email includes:

• Instructions for accessing course materials
• Opt-out information and the deadline date
• The cost for your digital materials for the class

Yes! Publishers offer significant discounts for Day One Access, passing these savings directly to you.

Yes. If you prefer not to participate, go to myBC3 > Login > click the Blackboard link, and select “opt out”. Please remember, opting out means you must obtain your materials at your own expense, usually at higher prices.

• Dropping a course: Return physical materials by the provided deadline. Digital materials are automatically refunded.
• Adding a course: Digital materials are accessible within 24 hours of adding a course.

Access to digital materials is typically available for at least 180 days.
